Webster 3, Unity 1

BALSAM LAKE – The Unity volleyball team had their chances against the Webster Tigers according to coach Louis Colletti, but fell in four sets, by scores of 25-13, 25-16, 22-25, and 25-22.

The game on Tuesday, Oct. 10, was the final game of the regular season for the Eagles.

“We did not come ready to play. There seemed to be a lack of energy and excitement, but we still had chances to win this match. We were able to win set No. 3 and then had numerous chances in set No. 4. Just a bad night, which happens,” Colletti said.

The Eagles game against Webster was their last home game of the year, along with being senior night and parent’s night.

“I do want to thank the seniors and their parents for all the time and effort they have given to this program. We are a very lucky coaching staff,” Colletti said.

Unity holds a No. 11 seed heading into the WIAA playoffs on Tuesday, Oct. 17. They play at Cameron, a No. 6 seed. The game will begin at 7 p.m.
