AMERY – The last cross-country meet of the regular season was held in Amery on Tuesday, Oct. 3, and teams will now start to focus on the biggest races of the season. The Lakeland Conference meet will be held at Shell Lake on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
“Hard to believe Conference is less than a week away. Where did the season go? It is always nice to see the growth over the season,” said Webster coach Roy Ward. “Amery’s meet was one more chance to polish up their race performances. I thought we ran well considering the amount of laps the team did for Loretta on Friday. I wasn’t sure how they would be feeling. As we enter the next few races, the goal is for personal satisfaction for all racers.”
Of the dozen complete boys teams competing in Amery, the Webster boys finished sixth with Hunter Erickson leading with a time of 19:10. He was ninth in the overall standings.
The Unity boys came in fourth overall as Cullen Feist ran a time of 19:15, and was 10th in the overall standings.
