OSCEOLA – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that the Highway 243/Osceola bridge over the St. Croix River will close for approximately two weeks.
The bridge closed Tuesday, Sept. 12, to allow permanent repair of a hole in the bridge deck, the repairing of hillside erosion and resurfacing of the road. The bridge will close at 10 a.m. Tueday. All traffic will be detoured north to cross the river at Taylors Falls.
MnDOT expects the bridge to reopen by Sept. 28 with all work completed by Oct. 21. The bridge was closed temporarily in late July after the discovery of a pothole. For more information contact MnDOT.
