For this young man the tractor was his favorite moment of fair. The tug-a-war team Misfits dug in and won the championship. The team of young and older farmers donated the $250 winnings to the 4-H program. Maddie Hopke is grooming her ewe before the sheep show. The appearance of an animal is as important as the physical traits and the exhibitors take a lot of pride in keeping their animals clean and comfortable. She is a member of the Cloverleaf 4-H Club. Madelyn is dancing with Guy Woftz at the Friday entertainment. – Photos by Larry Samson Patrick Zehm continues the tradition of the Veggie 500 Race in memory of Chris Weyh. Weyh started the race when Patrick was just beginning 4-H. Shown (L to R): Jackie Rosenbush, Zehm, Mariah Skogstad and Kate Peterson. For many fairgoers, the carnival is the place to be. Kylie Schneider, Molly Schneider and Emily Naylor are giving the high five to Naylor’s grandfather. The children had a fun and supervised time on the midway.
