SHELL LAKE – In February Maegann Lurker, 23, Trego, pleaded not guilty to two charges of manufacture/deliver amphetamine. One charge was for an amount less than or equal to 3 grams, the other charge for an amount greater than or equal to 10 to 50 grams of drugs. The next court date in the case is a status conference on Tuesday, June 6. Lurker faces a combined maximum sentence of a $125,000 fine and/or imprisoned 37 years.
A jury trial is scheduled on Tuesday, July 18, in four charges of manufacture/deliver amphetamine and maintaining and drug trafficking place against James M. Stariha, 29, Shell Lake. The four charges of manufacture/deliver amphetamine are for various amounts of amphetamine drugs. Each charge is a felony offense, along with the charge of maintain drug trafficking place. Stariha pleaded not guilty to the charges in December 2016. In total, Stariha faces a fine of $185,000 and/or 67 years imprisoned.
On Friday, June 9, David Bennett Sr., 53, Spooner, has a court appearance on the charges of possession with intent, amphetamine less than or equal to 3 grams and possess drug paraphernalia. Bennett pleaded not guilty to the charges in September 2016. The felony possession charge has a maximum sentence of a $25,000 fine and/or imprisoned 12 years and six months.
A motion hearing is set for Friday, June 9, for Jennifer Curtis, 38, Shell Lake, who is charged with possession of narcotic drugs, a felony, and three counts of theft less than or equal to $2,500, which are all misdemeanors. Curtis pleaded not guilty to the charges in June 2016. The felony possession charge has a maximum penalty of a $10,000 fine/and or imprisoned three years and six months.
